The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta just steps from Peachtree Street, has captured Meetings & Conventions magazine’s prestigious “Gold Key Award” for 2008. This marks the third consecutive year the hotel has received the award, which is presented annually to the world’s finest meeting properties. Sheraton Atlanta Hotel is one of Atlanta’s largest meeting hotels, featuring 760 guest rooms and suites, and 90,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
All winners of this award of excellence were nominated and selected by the readers of the magazine, who based their votes on overall professionalism and quality of the property. The award will be presented to Kevin Kobishop, general manager of the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, at Meetings & Conventions magazine’s Gold Awards Gala in New York City this November.
Meeting professionals selected their winning properties based on strict industry criteria, which included: staff attitude; quality of meeting rooms; quality of guest services; food and beverage service; proficiency of handling reservations; availability of technical/support equipment; and range of recreational facilities. All winning hotels and resorts will be featured in Meetings & Conventions’ Gold Awards issue published this November.
