Warner Center Marriott, located in the heart of West San Fernando Valley in Woodland Hills, California, has completed an extensive $6 million renovation of its 474 guest rooms and suites, and guest room corridors, according to Assistant General Manager Kim Cartaino. Conveniently located near all of the offerings of the San Fernando Valley, the hotel features 25,000 square feet of recently-enhanced meeting and event space.

The renovation project, which began in December 2007, included the installation of new 32-inch flat screen liquid-crystal display (LCD) televisions with High Definition capabilities. The TVs are attached to “digital connectivity panels” that allow guests to connect their own media, including laptops, camcorders, digital cameras, video games, a BlackBerry®, and an iPod. Once connected to the TV’s flat-panel screen and the 25-watt speakers, a guest has the ability to work on their laptop and watch TV – such as their favorite game – simultaneously on a split screen. The new system also provides the option of listening to an iPod through the sound system.

In addition to the new TVs, the remodeled rooms feature new carpet, wall coverings, drapes, an ergonomically correct chair, a comfortable casual chair, enhanced lighting, coffee makers and artwork. The rooms also have a new iHome alarm/clock radio with an iPod docking/charging station, and provide WiFi access. The contemporary rooms boast fabrics in warm color schemes, as well as Marriott’s comfortable Revive® bed, soft cream-colored sheets, plush mattresses, and fluffy pillows. Enhancements also were made to the guest room bathrooms, and to the balconies, which provide scenic views of the mountains and surrounding landscape.

All nine suites also were completely remodeled in a contemporary style with new furniture, carpet, bedding, drapes, lighting, wall coverings, and artwork. Guest room corridors feature new carpet, wall coverings, window coverings, and stylish lighting.

“Groups and guests just love the new look of our guest rooms and suites, which have a sophisticated residential feel,” said Cartaino. “We’ve always had a great location, and now our enhanced hotel and wonderful new guest rooms make our hotel the perfect choice for groups, business travelers, and leisure guests.”

In celebration of the renovation, the hotel is offering incentives to groups booking during “Value Dates.” During select dates in 2008 and early 2009, a meeting planner booking a new group with a minimum of 50 room nights will receive their choice of: a complimentary coffee break for up to 50 people; an Ice Cream Sundae Reception for up to 50 people; a Wine and Cheese Reception for up to 50 people; or Double Marriott Rewards points. The offer is available to new groups booking during such “2008 Value Dates” as November 6-9, November 13-16, November 20-23, and December 6-23, 2008. The offer is also available to new groups booking during such 2009 first quarter dates as: January 2-18, March 9-15, and March 22-29, 2009. g its "nimum of 25 room nights described below.Renovation (and Offering Special Package)
