Enters into a Management contract with Dodla Intenational Limited
Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces today unveiled a new world class premium business hotel in the city – Taj Residency Trivandrum. Providing the finest of services to the quintessential business traveler, this latest offering from Taj Hotels combines the full suite of contemporary facilities to make every customer's stay an unforgettable experience. Located in the heart of the city, and only 10 kms from the airport, the Hotel makes for a convenient option.
Dodla International Limited, owners of the property, have entered into a Technical Services & Development Assistance Agreement as well as a Hotel Operating Agreement with IHCL for the operation of the hotel on its completion - as a premier business class hotel under the name "Taj Residency Trivandrum", for an initial period of 10 years.
Announcing the launch of Taj Residency Trivandrum at a press conference today, Mr. Manoj Mathew, General Manager, said, "Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, is part of our aggressive domestic expansion. With key government establishments, corporate offices and proximity to high-end residential areas, the city presents an excellent opportunity for a new age business hotel such as ours".
He further added, "The hotel is a beautiful amalgamation of modern European and Indian design undertaken after extensive research which reflects the changing needs and lifestyles of today’s modern clientele. We will offer our guests unparalleled experience, encompassing the essence of Indian hospitality, synonymous with the Taj".
M/s IMA Interiors Pte Ltd, Singapore (IMA) are the official Interior designers of this prestigious hotel project in collaboration and the overall supervision of Indian Hotels Company Ltd.
Taj Residency Trivandrum offers its guests an array of well-appointed rooms which includes Deluxe rooms, Superior rooms, Premium rooms - trendy Executive suites as well as the Presidential suite.
The overall design concept of the 137 rooms including suites is trendy. Indian accents are evident in the artworks as well as other room details. Located on higher floors, the spacious rooms open up to a Panoramic City View on one side and a Stunning Pool View on the other.
