The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit will delay its opening from Wednesday, October 1, to Monday, October 6, 2008. The announcement was made today by The Ferchill Group Chairman and CEO John Ferchill, owner and developer of The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit:
"We are delaying the opening due to the monumental amount of detail work needed to complete the hotel restoration. It is our responsibility and promise to make sure everything is in place and ready to welcome the public. We are preparing to turn a page on Detroit's 'next chapter,' and we believe everyone will be impressed with what we have to offer residents, downtown workers and visitors."
