For eco-conscious travelers, the new Pamper Me Green spa package offered at The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club is ready for a test-drive. Starting tomorrow, October 7, guests who book this one-of-a-kind experience receive pick-up from a nearby airport in a 2008 Lexus LS 600h L equipped with a power reclining right-rear massage seat, a biodegradable “Spa VIP” license plate, a 90-minute all-natural Balance Body treatment in the Willow Stream Spa, a “green” lunch at the Cascata Grille restaurant and a take-home organic cotton robe.
“Fairmont’s alliance with luxury brand leader Lexus allows us to do our part in minimizing our impact on the environment through exciting innovative programs our guests will enjoy,” said David Feder, managing director of The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club. “The new Pamper Me Green experience is one of many visible green initiatives our visitors will find when staying at the legendary Fairmont Turnberry Isle.”
This ultimate rejuvenation package begins the moment guests are greeted by a Spa Chauffer at Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and escorted to the resort’s $120,000 (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) Lexus LS 600h L. Inside the luxury hybrid sedan, organic snacks and a recyclable bottle of water are bestowed in an adjacent leather console. A power reclining right-rear seat with a built-in massager and leg rest, audio controls and soothing spa music provide further relaxation and enjoyment.
Then upon arrival, guests are checked in curbside and are accompanied to the Willow Stream Spa, where an organic cotton robe and “green” experience like none other await. After indulging in the all-natural Balance Body relaxation treatment, the resort’s award-winning executive chef prepares a gourmet lunch in Cascata Grille using fresh regional, organic ingredients from his rare herb & tropical fruit tree garden and network of local growers.
Willow Stream’s Balance Body treatment uses the signature aromatherapy blend of Vetiver, Cypress, Lemongrass, Ylang-Ylang, and Spikenard oils to balance mind, body and spirit. The 90-minute treatment begins with an exfoliating foot ritual, continues with a hydrating body scrub with organic cornmeal, oatmeal and honey, and concludes with a full body massage.
Pamper Me Green starts at $275 per person, excluding tax and gratuities. Package must be reserved 48-hours in advance and is based upon availability. The program is also offered to locals who live or work within a 15-mile radius of the resort. Now through December 18, 2008, guests can add accommodations in a deluxe Fairmont Room from $279 per night. From December 19, 2008 through January 4, 2009, rates are from $659 per night, while January 5 through April 30, 2009, rates being at $549. Resort tax not included.
