The Ghoulish (and not-so Ghoulish) Receive Complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookies At Doubletree® Hotels Throughout North America

Ghosts and goblins going door-to-door seeking treats this Halloween can add their local Doubletree hotel to the list of must-haunt locations. Doubletree Hotels is offering its legendary, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies to anyone who walks into any of its more than 190 locations in North America this Halloween. No purchase is necessary. People may simply walk into any Doubletree hotel between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2008 to be welcomed with a delicious, warm chocolate chip cookie, while supplies last.

Even those not in traditional Halloween garb can shrill with delight as they are handed one of the hotel brand’s signature cookies oozing with chocolate chip morsels and bursting with crunchy walnuts - on the house, of course!

“On a night symbolically known for neighbors to open their doors and hearts and share sweets with revelers young and old in their communities, our Doubletree hotels embraced the opportunity to show they care by passing out some of the best treats of the holiday,” said Mary Beth Parks, senior vice president – brand marketing. “From the prettiest of princesses to the strongest of superheroes, it’s the easiest way ever to enjoy our signature cookies – and you don’t even have to be a guest.”

The Doubletree tradition of a chocolate chip cookie at check-in has set the standard in welcoming hotel guests for more than twenty years. Doubletree gives out approximately 35,000 chocolate chip cookies each day; that’s nearly 13,000,000 each year. Each cookie weighs a hearty 2 ounces and boasts an average of 20 chocolate chips.
