Jumeirah, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and member of Dubai Holding, has announced the appointment of Heinrich Morio as General Manager of the Group’s flagship property, Burj Al Arab and Margaret Paul as General Manager for the award winning Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Heinrich joins the team at Burj Al Arab from Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where he has held the position of General Manager since 2006. Heinrich, who been part of the Jumeirah group for the last four years, has worked in some of the finest luxury hotels in the world, including The One & Only Le Touessrok in Mauritius and The Peninsula in Beverley Hills, US, and will bring a wealth of experience to the World’s Most Luxurious Hotel, Burj Al Arab.

Jumeirah has also appointed Margaret Paul as General Manager for Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the most established hotel in the Group’s portfolio. Margaret has been with Jumeirah since 2002, and is returning to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where she previously worked as Hotel Manager, after working as Pre-Opening General Manager for Jumeirah Business Bay in Dubai, and Hotel Manager for Jumeirah Carlton Tower. Prior to joining the Jumeirah Group, Margaret worked for Le Meridien Mina Seyahi in Dubai and Europe.

This is another strategic step in building a solid platform for Jumeirah’s anticipated extensive growth in Dubai and around the world. With ambitious expansion plans to grow its portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts to 60 by 2012, this is an important step in aligning Jumeirah’s organizational structure to successfully manage the widespread growth and change the company is undergoing.

Marco Nijhof, Senior Vice President, Middle East, Africa and South Asia, Jumeirah, said: “We are delighted to be announcing the recent management appointments within the Jumeirah team in what is a very exciting time for all of us. The knowledge and experience that Heinrich and Margaret will bring will help us to further develop and communicate the key strengths of Jumeirah’s beachside hotels as well as the Jumeirah brand throughout the Region and beyond.”
