Festivities Begin with Lobby Unveiling December 4th

From holiday cocktails and Sugar Plum Pedis to Breakfast with Santa, there is something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season at Rosewood Crescent Hotel. The staff is hard at work transforming the entire property into holiday central, filled with all of the decadent flavors, sights and sounds of the season.

“I just love the moment when all of the preparation is complete and hotel guests have the opportunity to take it all in,” said Linda Wan, managing director of Rosewood Crescent Hotel. “It’s become a wonderful holiday tradition that Dallas residents and guests eagerly anticipate each year.”

The festivities begin Thursday, December 4 when Rosewood Crescent Hotel unveils its breathtaking holiday tree, as well as its renowned lobby centerpiece. This year, Pastry Chef, Eric Perelli, has designed an incredible gingerbread house that will stand nearly 10 feet tall and will be adorned with everything from sugar wreaths and candy canes to a chocolate North Pole mailbox. Perelli estimates it will take more than 20 pounds of modeling chocolate and 100 pounds of icing to make the sweet masterpiece.

“We’ll spend several days creating all of the sections for the gingerbread house and it will take an entire team to assemble it,” said Perelli. “It’s well worth the effort as it’s sure to capture the imagination and sweet tooth of everyone who visits the hotel.”

Perelli’s lobby centerpiece isn’t the only gingerbread house he and his North Pole helpers will be cooking up this year. He will host Rosewood Crescent Hotel’s one-of-a-kind gingerbread house decorating classes for both adults and children. The classes will give participants the unique opportunity to receive hands-on instruction on how to decorate gingerbread houses. To spice things up for adults, classes will include holiday cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

When visiting Rosewood Crescent Hotel for holiday shopping at Stanley Korshak and other shops, guests can take a break from all of the hustle and bustle and refresh with a traditional afternoon tea. The service includes various teas, mini pastries, freshly baked scones and finger sandwiches all served in beau’s, the hotel’s festive lobby bar.

If a relaxing tea isn’t enough to help guests de-stress, the award-winning The Spa at The Crescent is offering an assortment of sweet holiday treatments. The Sugar Plum Pedis are always a must and include a sugar plum scrub, mask and relaxing foot massage. Also, the Cachemire wrap is a perfect fix since it includes a cream scrub and wrap, wild flower bath, shea butter scrub, oxygen facial, pedicure and more. The Spa even offers gift cards that make perfect stocking stuffers.

“Grab a group of friends and come in for a fun-filled afternoon of holiday pampering,” said Jennifer Haack, director of The Spa. “A spa experience makes a wonderful gift and it’s even better when shared with friends or loved ones.”

While the dazzling decorations, gourmet treats and signature spa treatments attract guests to Rosewood Crescent Hotel each year, by far the most eagerly anticipated holiday activity is the arrival of Old Saint Nick for the hotel’s annual Breakfast with Santa. For two weekends only, families can visit with Santa while enjoying a delicious holiday breakfast buffet by Executive Chef Gianni Santin.
