With decadent hot chocolate created from rich Venezuelan beans and the “inside scoop” regarding the holiday wonders in each destination, Omni Hotels is enticing leisure travelers with their new “Holiday Sugar & Spice” package. On weekends from November 20, 2008 through January 4, 2009, guests can book the package at Omni properties across the U.S. and receive 25 percent off the leisure rate with a minimum two-night stay or a $25 suite upgrade based on availability at time of booking.

The holiday weekend package starts before the guest even arrives with an advance call from the hotel concierge to determine any special plans or arrangements, such as tickets to the Nutcracker or a visit to the nearest ice-skating rink. On arrival, each property will provide guests with a specially-created list of area holiday attractions – from holiday lights and decorations to the best shopping, in keeping with Omni’s popular Local Scoop microsite. After their first day of adventure, the guest is treated to delicious, Chuao Chocolatier brand premium hot chocolate with either the “Abuela” (traditional) or “Spicy Maya” flavor delivered to their guest room.

“We thought ‘Sugar & Spice’ was the perfect name because of the fun, festive and tasty elements combined with the ‘spicy’ value that our guests can receive during the holidays,” said Caryn Kboudi, vice president of corporate communications for Omni Hotels.

Omni’s “Holiday Sugar & Spice” package will be available on weekends from November 20, 2008 through January 4, 2009. Prices range from approximately $139 to $309 and will vary by property and date. The package must be pre-paid, is non-refundable and requires a minimum seven day advance purchase. Rates do not include taxes, and the offer is subject to availability.
