The Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) hotel loyalty programme announced a groundbreaking travel promotion that empowers SPG members to register for and choose their own rewards based on their travel styles and preferences. The ‘SPG You Choose’ is the biggest promotion ever offered by SPG. It allows members to determine their earning power, and choose from a dozen different reward options from across four categories. The offer is valid for stays at any of Starwood’s more than 890 participating hotels and resorts worldwide between October 1 and December 31, 2008.
SPG is also taking its ‘No Blackouts’ policy to new heights with the introduction of SPG Flights. In a hotel industry first, SPG members can now book flights on hundreds of domestic and international airlines, with no blackout dates. While other airline redemption programmes typically impose numerous fees on airline mile redemption flights, SPG Flights redemptions include taxes and booking fees in the price of the flight.
