Dusit International appoints Corporate Director for New Luxury Brand Dusit Devarana Hotels & Resorts (Thailand)

nton Kilayko has been named Corporate Director for Dusit Devarana Hotels and Resorts, announced Senior Vice President of Dusit International Octavio Gamarra. Mr. Kilayko will oversee the concept development and strategic positioning of the Thai company’s premier luxury brand. As Dusit International continues to expand, its global mission is to present Thai hospitality through inspiring design and outstanding service, with a priority now to develop hotels and resorts of exceptional quality.

Mr. Kilayko will also be responsible for dusitD2 hotels and resorts, the company’s progressive lifestyle driven hotel concept focusing on the balance between intuitive service, an enjoyable environment, comfort and contemporised design.

"Anton has an excellent artistic eye and can visually construct and transform spaces," said Mr. Gamarra in making the announcement. "He also has relevant experiences in hotel operations, marketing and public relations essential for his success in the new role. He will bring that creative touch to Dusit Devarana and dusitD2.”

Mr. Kilayko joined Dusit International from Orient-Express Hotels Trains & Cruises where he served for two years from 2006 to 2008 as Marketing Director of the Eastern & Oriental Express train and the Road To Mandalay deluxe river cruiser. He also oversaw the Asian region’s sales and marketing efforts for the global train and cruise portfolio.

Previously, Mr. Kilayko was Director of Public Relations and Marketing Communications at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore where he also served in various Food and Beverage management positions from 2000 to 2003.

Born in the Philippines, Mr. Kilayko began his hospitality career when he moved to Mexico in 1998 and joined The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun.

Mr. Kilayko was educated in Switzerland and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management from Hotel Management School Les Roches.
