The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, has received another award from the meetings industry, Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine’s prestigious “Award of Excellence” for 2008. This marks the third consecutive year the hotel has received the award, and it is the only hotel in Atlanta to capture the award this year, and one of only three hotels or resorts in Georgia to receive the honor. This follows the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel’s recent receipt of Meetings & Conventions magazine’s highly coveted “Gold Key Award.” Sheraton Atlanta Hotel is Atlanta’s sixth largest meeting and convention hotel, featuring 760 guest rooms and suites and 90,000 square feet of flexible function and event space.
The “Award of Excellence” winners are selected by Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine’s subscribers, who voted for those hotels and resorts that best served their corporate meetings and/or incentive travel programs during the past year. The award was presented at the magazine’s awards gala in New York City in November. All winning hotels and resorts are featured in a supplement to the magazine’s November issue.

Offerings at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel include the 760 guest rooms and suites that feature a one-of-a-kind contemporary design, the luxurious new Sheraton Sweet SleeperSM beds, Bliss bath amenities and wireless high-speed Internet access.
In addition, the hotel has a beautiful indoor/outdoor poolside Garden Courtyard with a fully retractable roof, a 24-hour fitness center, a full-service business center, concierge, a gift shop, the upscale Fandangles restaurant, the casual Collage restaurant, a 24-hour deli and in-room dining service.
A first-class meeting hotel, Sheraton Atlanta Hotel also provides groups with an Executive Meeting Specialist who can assist planners and attendees during every stage of an event. In addition, this fall the hotel will unveil its new Link@Sheraton area, which will provide 24-hour complimentary access to computers equipped with Internet and web cam capabilities, Ethernet data ports for laptops, easily accessible electrical outlets for power, as well as free printing services and Wi-Fi access allowing guests to email, search the Web, review local attractions and even print up boarding passes.
