On 18th December 2008, Gaddi's celebrates its 55th year of culinary excellence, exemplary service and renowned reputation. Hong Kong's oldest and finest French restaurant will commemorate this momentous occasion with a once-in-a-lifetime Gala Wine Dinner featuring a six-course menu paired with six exceptional wines, all from 1953 – the year that Gaddi's first opened its doors.
The Peninsula's culinary team spent one year searching the world for these exquisite wines. Finally garnered from England and France, the event will be an exceptional experience, with so many vintage wines to enjoy in one evening. In addition, a thoughtfully created menu – dishes designed to enliven the complexity of the wines while maintaining a balance between flavour and texture – will be presented.
The extraordinary wines served: Château Canon 1953 – St Emilion, Château La Mission Haut Brion 1953 – Graves, Vieux Château Certan 1953 – Pomerol, Château Margaux 1953 – Margaux, Château Pichon Lalande 1953 – Pauillac and Château Gillette 'Crème de Tête' and Preignac 1953 – Sauternes.
Gaddi's 55th Anniversary Gala Wine Dinner is priced at HK$ 16,888 per person (subject to 10% service charge).
