Downtown Minneapolis Luxury Hotel is the Only 2009 Hotel Recipient in Minnesota
Mobil Travel Guide, originator of the Star ratings program and certifications, has announced that Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis is a recipient of the 2009 Mobil Four-Star Award. Hotel Ivy is the only hotel in Minnesota to receive this 2009 award, and the first ever in Minneapolis.
Hotel Ivy, located at 201 South 11th Street in Minneapolis, is one of only 137 hotels in the United States and Canada to achieve this award this year.

For nearly a half-century, the Mobil Travel Guide star awards have been the "Gold Standard of Travel Ratings and Reviews." With unannounced and undercover facility inspections that check for more than 750 standardized criteria for hotels, it is one of the most comprehensive and rigorous in the industry.
A four-star award, such as the one Hotel Ivy received, denotes an "outstanding establishment in a distinctive setting with expanded amenities and exceptional service to create a luxury experience."
The Mobil Travel Guide website describes Hotel Ivy as follows:
"Some modern design can be as cold as a Midwestern blizzard, but Hotel Ivy's contemporary style is warm and inviting.
