Distinguished International® Hotels, Residences and Resorts is pleased to welcome Antonio Russo, Hotel Manager and his team at Casa Angelina Lifestyle in Southern Italy, as the latest member of the Distinguished® portfolio of international properties.

Delicately perched above the Mediterranean, in the small picturesque harbour village of Praiano near Positano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, this five-star boutique hotel can only be described as an experience in timeless elegance and outstanding beauty.

Considered the reference of luxury hotels of the region par excellence, Casa Angelina’s 39 sun kissed rooms and suites have been tastefully appointed in a sleek and serene aesthetic white décor with modern original colourful art pieces throughout the hotel, bringing a flavour of articulate intelligence to this exquisite gem.

Casa Angelina also offers Eaudesea – four apartment suites located on the private beach of La Gavitella. Once homes of local fishermen, these suites offer breathtaking views of the ocean and maintain the same airy and sleek feel of the hotel while keeping some of their authentic charm.

Guests will enjoy the sweetest wake up in the “Ulysse Lounge”, a contemporary re-interpretation of a kitchenette with a tempting buffet breakfast. With its equipment, during the day, it will be the ideal setting for light lunches or appetizers. Free drinks and snacks are available throughout the day. The Eaudesea Suites have their own terrace and are equipped with Bang & Olufsen Plasma TV with DVD and HiFi facilities, electronic room control touch panels for controlling lighting preferences, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access in the room. Guests are entitled to all the services of the hotel including daily newspaper delivery. Eaudesea Suites are accessible by the sea or by using the private elevator from the hotel and then going down approximately 200 steps.

The hotel’s restaurant draws gourmet palates from all the territory and offers an intimate seating for 80, both inside or on the terrace overlooking Positano and the expanse of the ocean. Un Piano nel Cielo Restaurant features the freshest of sourced ingredients for their gastronomic blend of Mediterranean cuisine and Amalfi Coast flavours, and an impressive wine cellar of local and international wines.

Casa Angelina’s other facilities include two pools, one heated indoor and one outdoor; a massage room overlooking the Bay; a selection of wellness treatments is available upon request; a fitness centre with the most up-to-date gym equipment coupled with sauna and Jacuzzi, and direct access to the beach by their private glass elevator then down approximately 200 steps, where deck chairs and beach umbrellas await guests of the hotel.

Guests can rent boats directly at the hotel to explore the Amalfi coastline and its many marinas and villages. There is also a daily shuttle available to and from Positano.

«We have met Distinguished® and their team at a perfect time for the direction we want to take our hotel in, » Antonio Russo, Hotel Manager at Casa Angelina. « The Europeans know the area well, but the North American traveller is always stunned by the beauty and how easy it is to travel here. When our North American friends think of Italy, we want them to associate it with the Amalfi Coast and Casa Angelina. Distinguished® is the ideal vehicle to get that message across. »

« A whole village perched and built in the rock above the Mediterranean – that is Praiano, » explains Bill Burruss, President of Distinguished® Hotels. « And the only way to even comprehend the beauty of such an incredible setting is to experience it. Such class and style remind me of some of the finer places on the French Riviera, but the charm of this hotel, its staff and the people of the village are trademarks that can’t be duplicated or measured. I am very pleased to have Antonio and his team with us. »
