Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, MGM MIRAGE’s destination resort on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, has once again been recognized as one of the top hotels in the world by the leading travel magazine Travel + Leisure.

In the seventh annual T+L 500, Travel + Leisure’s international team of reporters and editors researched the 500 highest-ranking hotels, resorts, inns and lodges from their annual World’s Best survey and came up with the definitive list and for the sixth year, Beau Rivage has been recognized as one of the world’s top hotels.

Beau Rivage is the only property in Mississippi to make the list. Overall scores are an indexed average of evaluations concerning five characteristics: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value.

Travel + Leisure’s editors describe Beau Rivage as a “waterfront resort that’s like Vegas on the Gulf Coast, with a high-wattage casino, 3,000-square-foot arcade, and polished interior courtesy of a $550 million post-Katrina renovation.”

"With a circulation of nearly one million, this award is very significant because it comes from the magazine’s readers, who are among the most sophisticated and passionate travelers in the world," said George P. Corchis, Jr. president and chief operating officer of MGM MIRAGE’s Mississippi resorts, which includes Beau Rivage in Biloxi and the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica.

Beau Rivage amenities include 1,740 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites; 11 award-winning restaurants; four nightclubs and bars; a state-of-the-art 1,550-seat theatre showcasing headline entertainment; an upscale shopping promenade with 12 unique retail shops featuring the latest designer trends; a 20,000-square-foot spa & salon; an 85,000-square-foot casino and Fallen Oak, a Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course recognized among the nation’s best.
