In 2008, Hotusa Hotels added to its portfolio a total of 439 establishments, with which it reconfirms its priviledged position within the main hotelier consortiums in the world. Of all the hotels added the last year, 169 are Spanish and 270 are spread over 31 countries..
The total figure in 2008 include the last 55 associated hotels added during last December, 30 of which are international. As it is detailed at the attached table, Hotusa Hotels made its debut in Guatemala and expanded its presence in Argentina (with 2 hotels), Czech Republic (2), United Kingdom (3), Hungary (3), Itlay (10) and Colombia (2), as well as Belgium, Morocco, Mozambique, USA, Lithuania, Portugal, with one establishment in each. The 25 hotels are spread around Andalucia (3), Aragon (3), the Baleares (3), Catalonia (6), Castilla y Leon (3), Madrid (2), and the Basque Country, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla La Mancha, with one establishment each.
Among the landmarks of the company in 2008, we hightlight the addition of the Elysees West Hotels, a chain of independent hotels with more than 100 establishments in France which was excellent to increase its presence in our neighbour country and establish its constant international expansion.
In addition to the traditional destinies, Hotusa has as an aim to expand and diversify its portfolio with the addition of hotels in the upcoming turist world markets. In this sense, we highlight that during last year, Hotusa added its first associated hotels in India, Panama, Nicaragua and Colombia, country in which already has a total of 8 establishments.
