Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Alex White as director of training for the leading hospitality management company located near Houston. The announcement was made by John Wood, vice president human resources.
“I am so pleased to announce this new position for Alex, stated Mr. Wood. “He has done a tremendous job for Benchmark, initially serving in a recruitment role, and has become a vital resource for our property human resource directors system-wide. He will make an excellent director of training and we congratulate him on his new position.”
Alex White was previously the highly successful director of recruitment for Benchmark Hospitality, joining the company’s Home Office following 15 years of experience in the human resources profession. This included serving Benchmark at the property level as director of human resources for Hotel Contessa, the company’s Personal Luxury Hotel™ located on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Previous to joining Benchmark, Mr. White was opening director of human resources and property operations for Lajitas Resort in West Texas.
Mr. White also has experience in the gaming industry, having served as senior recruiter for Harrah's Rincon Hotel & Casino near San Diego during its preopening and post-opening periods. Earlier in his career, White was employed in human resources for hotels within the Hilton and Marriott organizations.
Alex White received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Bachelor of Science degree in International Business from Mississippi State University. He and his family reside in Magnolia, Texas.
