Vdara, MGM MIRAGE’s newest luxury hotel, is now accepting reservations for corporate and incentive events for 2010 and beyond. Vdara is an internationally inspired all-suite hotel and spa designed for those who love the excitement of Las Vegas but prefer to enjoy it in an exclusive, non-gaming, smoke-free and sustainable environment. Its boutique meeting facility will welcome guests to a world of sophistication as rich in design as it is in technological and culinary offerings. Vdara will deliver intricately customized events for groups up to 400 people and become a haven for those with an acquired taste for impeccable service.
With more than 10,000 square feet of adaptive ground-floor meeting spaces ranging from a contemporarily styled ballroom to a 14-person executive boardroom, Vdara will extend the unparalleled offerings and professional service for which MGM MIRAGE is renowned worldwide. Easily accessible from Vdara’s main entrance and connected by pedestrian walkway to Bellagio, the refined meeting spaces will boast state-of-the-art technology offerings and the flexibility to accommodate the needs of any function. Vdara’s convention services, and food and beverage professionals, will assist in the entire planning process from décor and entertainment to creating tailored menus by Vdara’s executive chef Martin Heierling, the renowned innovator behind Bellagio’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant Sensi.
Designed by RV Architecture, LLC, a critically acclaimed international practice led by Rafael Vińoly, Vdara’s distinctive crescent shape and unique skin of patterned glass will create one of the most striking design statements in Las Vegas. Within, architectural and interior design firm BBG-BBGM will create a palette utilizing natural materials such as warm wood, sandstone and pebbles that underscore Vdara’s contemporary comfort and style, while embracing the sustainable, environmental stewardship MGM MIRAGE has championed at all of CityCenter’s venues. Vdara, which is pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, will be a non-smoking facility and has been designed to reduce energy consumption, promote water conservation and improve indoor air quality.
Vdara will achieve more than 30 percent improvement in energy efficiency and save an estimated six million gallons of water each year, equating to a savings of 30 percent within the building and 60 percent in outdoor landscaping. Vdara’s hotel and meeting facilities will emphasize sustainable living. Its restaurant and Gourmet Grocer will feature fresh foods made with pure ingredients, while the spa and hotel amenities will offer branded, result-based products. Vdara’s 1,495 suites will be luxuriously appointed with open floor plans and horizontal windows that deliver expansive views of the city and mountains. For added convenience, each unit will feature gourmet kitchens for guests wishing to prepare their own meals.
Served by an experienced, professional staff that will help elevate any function, conference space at Vdara will include a spacious 4,000-square-foot ballroom, three intimate meeting spaces, an executive boardroom and a beautiful pre-function area. The space will be equipped with the latest technology including built-in audio-visual systems with Crestron control of lighting, sound and video; drop-down, high-definition projectors and screens; patchable fiber, Ethernet, IPTV, broadband and wireless capabilities; and flexible power distribution.
For those who prefer the flexibility of an outdoor event, Vdara’s vibrant Sky Pool & Lounge also will be available for private events for up to 1,500 guests and provide a dynamic backdrop of CityCenter and the Las Vegas Strip. For those groups desiring a secluded and relaxed venue, Silk Road, Vdara’s modern international restaurant, will feature a private dining room for groups of up to 14 people.
When the workday is done, attendees will have a world of excitement at their fingertips. Vdara will boast amenities commensurate with the world’s most elite resorts. From early morning to late evening, Vdara Health & Beauty, a 16,000-square-foot, two-level spa, salon and advanced fitness facility, will soothe and rejuvenate its guests. Comprised of 11 treatment rooms and three distinct relaxation lounges, the spa will offer a selection of signature treatments and products from around the world. Men’s and women’s lounges each will boast sauna, steam, hot plunges and heated chaise loungers. The spa also will feature an innovative champagne and smoothie bar serving vegetarian and vegan-inspired cuisine. In the salon, guests can enjoy professional hair design, indulgent manicures and pedicures, and make-up artistry. Health & Beauty’s retail area will offer an exclusive selection of skincare and bath and body products, candles, books, edibles, apparel and other spa lifestyle items. The fully equipped fitness facility will offer personal trainers, and group or private classes.
Its Silk Road destination restaurant will transform as the day evolves, from fresh and vibrant at daybreak to hip and sexy at nightfall. Bar Vdara will be a setting inspired by nature that will work as well for a morning espresso as it does for a late-night cocktail. Bar Vdara will connect to an intimate outdoor space that creates the feeling of being in a secluded garden oasis where guests can lounge on spacious swings as the nearby reflecting pool creates a shimmering mirage of twinkling stars overhead.
Elevated high above Harmon Circle, Vdara’s luxurious Sky Pool & Lounge will invite guests to relax and socialize in an interactive environment surrounding by cutting-edge design.
