Hilton Hotels Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations Barry Lewin announces the appointment of Michael Platt as general manager of El San Juan Hotel & Casinos in San Juan, Puerto Rico, effective immediately.
With more than twenty years of hospitality experience, Platt joins El San Juan Hotel & Casino most recently from the Hilton New York, where he held the position of Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage since early 2007.
Platt will oversee the daily sales and operations of the 382-room luxury resort and enhance the dynamic property�s premier position within the San Juan community, hotel industry and global marketplace. El San Juan Hotel & Casino recently completed a $52 million redesign, renovation and refurbishment, which included enhancements to the lobby, guest rooms and meeting spaces by Robert Barry of Barry Design, and an alluring new pool and beachside experience, Encanto Beach Club, by acclaimed architect Stephane Dupoux. Dramatically set on one of Puerto Rico�s most picturesque beaches, the El San Juan Hotel & Casino has long been recognized as the leading hotel and casino of the Caribbean, hosting guests ranging from celebrities and royalty, to seasoned families who have frequented this prestigious hotel year after year.
