KITZBÜHEL, Austria, December 19 /PRNewswire/ --

- Just in Time for the Christmas Holidays, the Luxury SPA Resort Has Been Completed

This weekend the new A-ROSA Kitzbühel will greet its first guests. The new luxury SPA Resort Complex is situated directly opposite the famous Streif Ski Run and right next to the oldest golf course in Kitzbühel. The 100 rooms and 50 suites are spread out among four adjoining buildings. Built in the style of a Tyrolean palace, the resort occupies an area of 6,500 square meters of larch wood and has the largest shingle roof in Central Europe.

Real estate developer Dr. Ebertz & Partner has commissioned Flattinger Design and Heino Stamm from Munich to design the architecture.

After the opening of the A-ROSA Travemünde, A-ROSA Kitzbühel is the third of the Group's resorts. For Horst Rahe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Arkona AG, the debut of this resort shortly before Christmas marks a felicitous end to the year. "We are now happy to be able to operate an AROSA resort here in the Alps. We are sure that the concept of quality we have for the SPA and luxury vacation complex, together with year-round operation, will greatly enrich Kitzbühel's reputation as a popular resort region. Kitzbühel is a very good location for A-ROSA."

Around 150 employees, of whom 40 will be in the SPA area, will attend to the needs of guests. The team, consisting of people from eight countries, will be headed by the Austrian manager, Eva Loquenz.

In the 3,000 square meter SPA area, trend-setting concepts for innovative health tourism will be implemented. In addition to eight saunas, large equipment areas, rooms for yoga and 16 exercise rooms, as well as a preventive medicine department for sports diagnostics, guests will also have indoor and year-round heated outdoor pools as well as 100 square meters of exclusive SPA suites at their disposal. Various exotic beauty and body treatments will also be administered by professional experts.

Three restaurants offer a wide array of selections. In the Market Restaurant, cooks will prepare dishes before guests' eyes, according to dining concepts developed by A-ROSA. Nutritional experts will be on site to give you advice. The Kaps fine-dining restaurant will offer choice creations in a palatial Tyrolean lounge. In the 'Restaurant im Golfhaus', open year-round, classic meals and snacks as well as exquisite wines, delicacies and hearty meals will be served.
