The Sheraton Hanoi Hotel welcomes Roger Rechsteiner as the new Executive Chef. Bringing over 22 years of experience to the table (and kitchen), charismatic and award-winning Swiss- Australian Chef Roger will delight guests with his specialties at the award-wining Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.

Roger Rechsteiner is an executive chef who doesn’t believe in kitchen stereotypes, managing a team of 25 chefs including six apprentices in Australia’s largest hotel, he has still found time to develop a culture of learning and development.

After graduating from the Professional School for Cooks, St.Gallen, Switzerland, Roger worked at the hotel and restaurants in Switzerland, Ireland and Australia where he achieved most of his awards, gold & silver medals at the culinary competitions. Through his experience in the hotels, Michelin star restaurant, and corporate catering industries, he has acquired extensive knowledge of classical traditional French, Swiss & Mediterranean over fusion of Australian, Pacific Rim, Middle East and Thai cuisine.

”Roger brings some new ideas and a fresh approach to the food & beverage offerings at the Hotel. Our customers can expect to see some exciting changes when they next visit our Restaurants.” said Matthew Everson.

As Executive Chef at the Sheraton Hanoi, Chef Roger oversees culinary programs at the hotel. Chef Roger’s menu offerings epitomize the standard of quality at Sheraton Hanoi. From the signature starters of lobster dumpling pan fried with chili, tomato, lemongrass vinaigrette, to exquisite main courses including turmeric and galangal marinated New Zealand lamb cutlets with sautéed sweet potato flavored with honey, Chef Roger offers the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel guests only the most delectable dishes surrounded by a relaxed style ambiance with a creative flair.
