Banyan Tree Spa strengthens its collaboration with the Tivoli Hotel Group with the opening of Elements Spa By Banyan Tree at the brand new Tivoli Victoria hotel in the Algarve, Portugal, on 18 March 2009. The Spa is the first Elements Spa By Banyan Tree to open in Portugal. Angsana Spa, the sister brand of Banyan Tree Spa, opened last year at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura hotel, also in Portugal.
Located at Tivoli Victoria Hotel in the Algarve in Portugal, Elements Spa By Banyan Tree occupies sprawling 1,200 square metres at the new and luxurious Tivoli Victoria Hotel. The resort spa is the perfect sanctuary for the senses, featuring an extensive selection of Asian inspired spa treatments to rejuvenate the body, mind and soul. Its spa therapists are professionally trained at the Banyan Tree Spa Academy in Phuket, Thailand.

Drawing on Asian traditions that date back centuries, this stylish retreat offers guests with treatments using freshly prepared natural and indigenous ingredients such as aromatic oils, herbs and spices. The signature 180-minute Hot Stone treatment package, inspired by Banyan Tree Spa’s Asian origins. Heated river stones are soothingly massaged over the body along with the use of sesame oil, exerting warmth and pressure on energy points. This Massage is beneficial for the discharge of toxins from the system. This traditional Thai therapy, long practiced for its detoxifying effects, also helps to boost blood circulation, promote healthy skin and relief muscle tension. The treatment begins with a Seaweed Scrub to cleanse the body of dead skin cells. A Body Wrap and Face Massage follow to cleanse the body from top to toe, preparing it for the Hot Stone Massage. This experience will induce a state of deep relaxation and bring the mind into ultimate tranquillity.

Resort Spa Facilities
The Spa features four Double Deluxe Suites, each with an outdoor whirlpool equipped with hydro massage jets and a shower and steam room. The two Single Deluxe Suites are each equipped with a Rainmist room, a shower and steam room and a bathtub and one Single Deluxe Suite is equipped with outdoor whirlpool with hydro massage jets and a shower and steam room.
