Capitalizing on Northern Europe’s robust cultural assets and spectacular options for nature lovers, Crystal Cruises is introducing 50 brand new Crystal Adventures to its roster of nearly 300 in the region this summer. Options to glacier trek, cycle, flight-see and snowmobile complement sightseeing of historic treasures and ballet theatre. In 2009, Crystal will offer Northern Europe and Baltic itineraries of seven to 14 days aboard Crystal Symphony from June through August.

In ports throughout Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Finland, Norway, Poland, Germany, Iceland and the British Isles, experiences ashore run the gamut, including:

* *NEW* Spelunking cave expedition through Trollkirka Caves, 1,600 feet above sea level (Norway);

* *NEW* Private car and helicopter exploration of Helsinki’s Neo-Classical architecture, Olympic Stadium, opera house and other highlights (Finland);

* Special opera or ballet performance at the famed Mariinsky Theatre (Russia);

* High-speed sailing on an adrenaline-filled adventure in a state-of-the-art V.O.60 Volvo professional ocean racer

“The wealth of exciting, eclectic shore-side options in the Baltic and Northern Europe inspired us to dramatically expand our choices of Crystal Adventures,” says John stoll, director of land programs. “Whether traveling with family or individually, travelers can fulfill their own interests for a very personal experience of this very beautiful and historically significant area of the world.”

Most 2009 Baltic and Northern Europe cruises feature overnight stays and many boast three days docked in St. Petersburg, offering dozens of choices ashore.

Crystal's Europe Celebration Fares offer up to $1,500 per person savings on most cruises. Cruise fares for the voyages start at $3,535 per person, double occupancy, and with most European itineraries, an All Inclusive - As You Wish promotion provides an up to $2,000 per couple shipboard credit to fully customize one's cruise experience. Additionally, the much-appreciated Crystal Assurance Plan offers reduced deposits and cancellation periods, as well as the assurance that guests will be protected at the reduced fare if a stateroom category is later reduced.
