The Villa Group recently won top honors at the 34th annual Tianguis Turistico 2009, a Mexico Tourism Board event, receiving awards from two prominent travel website entities, Expedia.com and Orbitz.com.
Expedia.com honored The Villa Group as Top Hotel Chain in Mexico for 2008, based on total nights booked in 2008 at all Villa Group resorts. Orbitz.com recognized The Villa Group's Villa La Estancia in Cabo San Lucas with the Top Service Award for 2008 based on customer ratings, for sustaining excellent service to all guests and providing a beautiful and comfortable vacation destination.
Speaking on behalf of The Villa Group, Corporate Director Carlos Aquino stated, "Being recognized by two powerhouses in the travel industry is tremendously exciting for us and validates that the vacation experience our resorts deliver is second to none." Aquino also noted tremendous interest within the travel community in the new projects currently under construction in Loreto and Cancun.
The Villa Group received an award at last year's Tianguis Turistico event, giving them a total of three awards in two years, but the honor comes as no surprise.
