European-Based Choice Privileges Rewards Members Receive Double the Value at Thousands of Hotels Across the World

Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) announced today that European-based members of Choice Privileges, the company’s award-winning rewards program, will earn double Choice Privileges points for every qualifying stay. The offer applies to stays at Choice Privileges properties for all ten Choice Hotels brands with arrival from May 21 through November 19, 2009.*

“We are delighted to offer Choice Privileges members in Europe the opportunity to now earn double points when they travel either on business or holiday,” said Mark Pearce, vice president, International. “This exciting promotion will reward our most loyal customers and help them earn a free night faster at one of Choice’s more than 5,000 hotels”

As part of this unique promotion, European members of the Choice Privileges rewards program will receive 20 points for every U.S. dollar spent at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites or Ascend Collection hotels in Europe**, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australasia+, and the Caribbean. Members will also be able to earn 10 points per U.S. dollar at all MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn properties in the same regions.

Originally launched in 1998, the Choice Privileges rewards program recently celebrated its one-year anniversary in Europe, where the program was officially launched in May 2008. Becoming a Choice Privileges member is free and members also enjoy express check-in, extended check-out, and the opportunity to redeem points for free nights at over 5,500 properties throughout Europe**, the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australasia+ and the Caribbean.
