Rhythm and Lights Return to Hotel Cala di Volpe’s Summer Concert Stage: Celebrated Recording Artists Donna Summer and Craig David Headline in Costa Smeralda
International music performers take the stage this summer at the famous Hotel Cala di Volpe, part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection and managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The crowning jewel of Costa Smeralda, the five-star Hotel Cala di Volpe shines its lights on two of pop music’s brightest stars, the legendary Donna Summer, on July 25, and British R&B singer Craig David, on August 13.
The stage itself overlooks one of the most picturesque bays of Costa Smeralda, only adding to the grandeur of the event, which is widely regarded as the highlight of the summer season. On July 25, Donna Summer, the queen of disco music, will perform live to a glamorous elite crowd gathered to soak up the sounds and gorgeous setting. A Grammy Award winner and one of the highest selling 70’s recording artists, Donna Summer also boasts a wide repertoire of R&B, rock and gospel styles. She will perform the tunes that made her famous such as “Bad Girls,” “Hot Stuff,” and “Love to Love You Baby” along side other hits and her contemporary collection of songs.
On August 13, Cala di Volpe’s pool-side stage hosts Craig David and his sultry brand of R&B and pop. His debut album “Born To Do It” sold more than seven million units worldwide, earning multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries, and he continued his recording career topping the charts in the UK. During this special appearance he will perform a range of his popular singles including "7 Days," "Walking Away," "Rendezvous," What's Your Flava" to "Hidden Agenda", "Rise And Fall", "Spanish" and "World Filled With Love".

On both occasions, the concerts will be held in the stunning location around the Cala di Volpe pool, the largest outdoor seawater pool in Europe. The hotel’s acclaimed food and beverage service featuring Mediterranean, regional Sardinian and international culinary specialties will be served prior to the show, in a seamless buffet overseen by Chefs Francesco Guardone and Antonio Vallana.
