More than € 145,600 collected by Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo through their initiative “Il Gusto per la Ricerca”.
On 26 May several highly acclaimed Italian chefs made an active contribution at the Restaurant Da Vittorio to collecting funds to support scientific research.
“Il Gusto per la Ricerca” has decided to donate € 40,000 (of the € 145,600 collected) to the Paris-based Institute for Brain and Spinal Cord Disorders (ICM).
The cheque was officially presented by Jaume Tàpies, International President of Relais & Châteaux, to Professor Gérard Saillant, President of the ICM, at the Maison des Relais & Châteaux on 17 June.
Jaume Tàpies stressed that, “this great initiative is a perfect example of our global support for the ICM. For Relais & Châteaux, solidarity and generosity are an integral part of our values.”
Gérard Saillant commented that “beyond the financial aspect, we are particularly pleased about the personal commitment of all the members of this prestigious association; this motivates us day in day out to continue in our fight against the disease.”
Relais & Châteaux has committed itself to ICM for a period of two years. It will offerfinancial support and promotef ICM vis-à-vis its members and guests.
