Come August 2010, Raffles Makkah Palace will welcome royal families and prominent individuals on their annual Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This all-suite hotel provides stunning views overlooking the Grand Mosque, Al Masjid al Haram, which is just a 3-minute walk away, providing immediate access to the primary destination of a pilgrimage – the Kaaba within the Grand Mosque.

All 211 spacious suites at Raffles Makkah Palace will have an ambience of sophistication, reflective of the region's heritage, with design elements influenced by Arabic art and culture. With an average of three staff for every suite and complemented with round-the-clock butler service, residents at Raffles Makkah Palace can expect to receive the highest standards of attentive service that has become a signature style at Raffles hotels and resorts around the world. Well-located high-speed elevators throughout the property will provide ease of access during the five daily prayer periods.

Residents will have several exquisite dining options to look forward to. The Tea Lounge will feature specialty tea blends and the finest coffee roasts from around the world, with a tea and coffee sommelier on hand to assist patrons and residents. Raffles Creamery will offer personalised blends of ice-cream ‘teppanyaki’ prepared on a cold marble stone. Levantine Restaurant will celebrate the culinary delights of Eastern- Mediterranean while the all-day dining restaurant will offer cuisine from Asia and the Middle East, with a highlight of a chocolate room where chefs will prepare pralines and truffles, customised to suit each patron's preference.

His and hers only fitness centres, beauty parlour, grooming salons, Raffles Amrita Spa as well as access to an adjoining retail mall sets a new benchmark in Makkah for facilities and services.

Raffles Makkah Palace is set to be the jewel of the prominent Abraj Al Bait Complex and is developed by Saudi Binladin Corporation, one of the largest development and construction firms in the Arab world.
