Developers Move Forward with Construction on Unique Investment and World Class Destination Resort Near Manuel Antonio National Park

JADE Condo Hotel Residences & Beach Club at Manuel Antonio on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica has announced its official groundbreaking, moving forward with the construction of what is anticipated to be one of the region’s most sought after condo hotel/ resort destinations.

The property is situated one mile from Manuel Antonio National Park—the most visited park in Costa Rica—and approximately five miles from Quepos, considered the sport fishing capital of the world.

JADE Condo Hotel Residences & Beach Club will feature 240 designer residences within a four-star hotel setting complete with world-class hospitality services and resident and guest amenities. JADE is a branded Wyndham Hotels and Resorts property and is affiliated with The Registry Collection® Exchange Program, the world’s largest luxury exchange program offered by Group RCI, the worldwide leader in vacation exchange and the European leader in vacation rentals, and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands (NYSE: WYN).

Among plans for JADE Condo Hotel Residences & Beach Club are: a private beach club featuring an oceanfront cafe and bar with lagoon pool, cabanas and a lazy river (the only one in Costa Rica); a luxurious resort pool with 180-degree Pacific Ocean views, cabanas and poolside services; a lobby featuring a magnificent nine-story atrium and a 40-foot cascading waterfall; a 2,000-square-foot health, fitness and aerobics center; “Tico,” an upscale Latin fusion restaurant; a wellness spa; a 6,000-square-foot meeting facility; and an array of concierge and guest services. Area activities include golf, white water rafting, kayaking, treetop zip-lining, mountain biking, horseback riding, water sports and other beachside recreation.

Costa Rica, acclaimed for its progressive policies on the environment and sustainable tourism, is one of the most bio-diverse regions. Its natural beauty and location make it a popular destination for international travelers, including those from North America.

Dan Dykgraaf, lead developer for JADE Condo Hotel Residences & Beach Club said, “Our vision was to create a place of peaceful discovery and adventure, where people can connect with nature and themselves. In creating this, we were inspired by the stunning backdrop and rainforest of Manuel Antonio National Park and the pristine beachfront. JADE is situated beautifully in the center, combining a modern design approach with natural and cultural influences.”

Buyers in JADE can choose from four distinct floor plans: El Bosque – one bedroom/ one bathroom residences with 532 square feet of living space; Miramar – two bedroom and two bathroom residences with 1,077 square feet of living space; Pacifico Azul – two bedroom and two bathroom residences with 1,203 square feet of living space; Buena Vista – one bedroom one bathroom residences with 731 square feet of living space. Each of the four condominium options are designer-furnished and lavishly decorated with stone flooring throughout and large private terraces offering vista views. Pre-construction prices range $250,000 to $750,000.

Added Dykgraaf: “Our team wants to recognize the wonderful support of the local authorities and governing agencies, as well as the local community for working very closely with us to ensure that we meet and exceed all conservation and sustainability expectations in our development of JADE at Manuel Antonio. The result is a project that is complementary to the local environment while promising to be a sophisticated lifestyle and hospitality experience, one in which we and our buyers can be proud. The buyer response to the project, including our most current commitments, is testament to this.”

Dykgraaf concluded, “The beauty of this region extends to the people of Manuel Antonio and Quepos so it’s been important for us to involve them in the project and, in doing so, also provide opportunities for infrastructure/ quality of life enhancements, employment, educational scholarships and training.”

To date, JADE through its development team has invested over $200,000 in water improvements within Manuel Antonio. Local student scholarships and training programs have also been introduced.

Construction is now underway on JADE with condominiums/ hotel rooms and amenities scheduled for completion in December 2010.
