2009 Best of the Best Awards announced at Travel Mart in Las Vegas.
Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora was named the World’s Best Spa in the Best of the Best Awards, by leading luxury travel network Virtuoso and its award-winning magazine Virtuoso Life. The awards were announced August 19, 2009 at Virtuoso’s annual Travel Mart conference in Las Vegas, the largest luxury travel event.

The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is situated on the high summit of the Resort’s motu, where the forces of energy and relaxation meet in harmony and where the energy of the Pacific Ocean meets the tranquility of the turquoise lagoon. Treatments blend the tradition of Polynesia with science to maximize therapeutic value and relaxation. Local ingredients such as the prized monoi, native vanilla, kahaia flower and black pearl powder are used in various treatments, bringing a sense of place into the Spa experience.
Virtuoso Life editors, in collaboration with Virtuoso’s member travel advisors, selected nominees representing the pinnacle of service and design in the industry. The 10 award categories ranged from “architecture and design” to “most innovative guest experience.” Winners were selected above other nominees as they were regarded as the very best in their category demonstrating innovation, dedication, social conscience and even courage. Best of the Best award winners will be featured in the September/October 2009 issue of Virtuoso Life.
