Angelini Italian restaurant at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will stage an exclusive wine dinner on 6 November 2009 featuring 95 plus rated wines from different wineries. There will be a lucky draw and guests will have the opportunity to win a magnum of Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Poggio all’Oro 1999, Tuscany, which was awarded 96 points and selected as the eighth best wine in the world by Wine Spectator.
To highlight this special occasion, Angelini Chef Vittorio Lucariello has prepared a five course dinner menu, infused with Alba White Truffle, to delight the discerning palate. The feast will begin with Caramelised Maine Scallops with Crispy Mortadella, Baby Sprouts, Sabayon and Sicilian Pistachios complemented with Dom Perignon Vintage 2000, followed by Roasted Squab with Stuffed Leg, Fresh Porcini Mushrooms and Shaved Alba White Truffle, which will be matched with Massolino Barolo Vigna Rionda Riserva 2000, Piedmont. The home-made Tagliatelle with Cured Lardo from Arnad and Shaved Alba White Truffle will be accompanied with Marchesi di Frescobaldi Brunello di Montalcino Luce 2003 and slow-braised Buffalo Belly with Ricotta Cheese and Green Peas Sauce will be matched with Galardi Terre di Lavaro 2006, Campania. To provide guests with a sweet finish, Napoleon Puff Pastry with Mascarpone, Gianduja Chocolate and Espresso-coffee Sauce will be paired with Donnafugata Ben Rye 2007, Sicily.
The wine dinner is priced at only HK$1,888 plus 10 per cent service charge per person.
