The Tivoli Lisboa confirms its emphasis on the Meetings and Events segment with the opening of the new Conferences and Events Centre, which doubles its capacity to 14 meeting rooms.

This new space provides a unique and unforgettable experience for all those who are seeking an exclusive setting for their events, and right in the very centre of Lisbon.

The building dates back to the XIX century and became famous as it was the former residence of the Counts of Sucena. Totally renovated and restored, the building maintains the charisma of its original façade but now with new rooms which are all equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to cater for numerous types of events.

The building has 3 floors with a total of 7 rooms, all with natural light. The ground floor has a large reception area with access by stairs to the upper floors. On the first floor are the Condes de Sucena (modular room with different configuration possibilities), Avenida and Castello Lopes rooms, this latter room being somewhat special as all of the walls are wood panelled. The top floor houses the VIP Board Room (North Junior Room) with an exclusive foyer and direct access by elevator. The ideal place for events requiring privacy and very special settings.

Located next to the swimming pool, in the semi-tropical gardens to the rear of the hotel, the Palacete can be accessed directly from Avenida da Liberdade and Rua Barata Salgueiro, The superb entrance driveway is finished in traditional Portuguese cobbling. The direct link to the garden allows cocktail parties and poolside events to be held in a very natural and welcoming atmosphere.

For Rui de Sousa, General Director of the Tivoli Lisboa, “these new spaces provide a new dimension to the hotel’s supply in the MICE segment and for social events. The Palacete guarantees differentiation from competitors and allows us to organize an event, a meting or a wedding in a fantastic setting of tremendous quality. There is even a swimming pool and tropical garden. The Tivoli Lisboa now has the solution it needs and one which reflects its positioning.”

The opening of this centre is part of the repositioning strategy for this emblematic hotel in the city of Lisbon, which started with the extensive remodelling work completed in July 2008 involving all of the public areas in the hotel and several floors of rooms.

The Conferences and Events Centre will also serve guests of the Tivoli Jardim, located immediately next to the Tivoli Lisboa.
