The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali recently hosted Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Championship Beauty Class – The Pevonia Journey to Flawless Skin at Balai Raya Ballroom. Six tennis players participated in the session called “Pevonia Journey to Flawless Skin.
Yanina Wickmayer, Vera Dushevina, Sabine Lisicki, Aravane Rezai and duet tennis players, Melinda Czink and Kimiko Date-Krumm, were indulged in the explanation on the importance of skin care by Kellie Baker from Pevonia Botanica. The session taught the players to identify their skin types and the simple method of cleansing, moisturising, application of the masker, and tricks to retaining smooth and flawless skin.
Baker identified that a majority of players had dry skin due to the constant contact with the sun and perspiring continuously as they played on the courts. The players generally agreed, and added that it was also due to the fact of the weather conditions in all the various countries that they have to play at. Immediately after the skin care treatment they were spoilt with a short shoulder and neck relaxation massage, and the result was total relaxation.
Kimiko Date-Krumm does not usually do this as often as she should but she always try to cleanse her face just before go to bed while Sushevina expressed she really enjoyed the tournament’s off court activities. The beauty class session has increased her knowledge on skin care, skin types and the best treatment for the skin.
