On the beaches of Los Cabos, Mexico, rests the newest addition to the all-inclusive, luxury portfolio of leading hotelier Barceló Hotels & Resorts

With the holidays fast approaching, travelers are sure to have much more than visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads. Dreams of the perfect holiday getaway will soon be fulfilled with the December 15, 2009, debut of Barceló's newest all-inclusive offering, Barceló Los Cabos Palace Deluxe.

Nestled on one of the widest stretches of beach in the destination at 650 feet wide and half of a mile in length, this five-star, all-inclusive, all-suite resort on the Sea of Cortez and nearby to picturesque San José del Cabo, Mexico, will be composed of three towers of 626 well-appointed suites, including 34 swim-up suites, the first and only swim-up suites for both the hotelier and the destination. Designed in the California hacienda style, blended with stylish, modern luxuries, the resort will feature only the finest in-suite amenities, including 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, rain dance-style showers, jetted bathtubs and the latest in in-room technology, including dual CPUs for guest interface with smart TV, controlling room climate, room service requests, opening/closing draperies, Internet access and direct phone.

Guests will be able to choose from a variety of culinary choices, thanks to the resort's seven on-site restaurants, including both casual and gourmet dining establishments. The Mexican and international buffets as well as a snack grill at the adults-only pool will please the more casual crowd. Five specialty, a la carte restaurants, meanwhile, will offer the finest dishes in Spanish, Italian, French and Japanese cuisine as well as mouth-watering steaks.

The Spanish-themed restaurant, El Cortijo, will reflect the elegance of the traditional art of bullfighting. The unique decor will provide an authentic environment in which guests can enjoy a savory Spanish meal.

For a taste of the Orient, Lotus, the Japanese restaurant, will serve as an oasis of tranquility, offering five unique atmospheres: Tatami tables, a sushi bar, Tepanyaki tables, private cabins and a dessert table.

An Italian restaurant, Capri, will recall the works of Botticelli with close-ups of his main masterpieces on the walls, and a French restaurant, Bon Vivant, will boast a design based on the architecture of Gae Aulenti in Paris. Both are sure to offer classical sophistication and a satisfying dining experience. Finally, for the land lover set, the resort's steak house, Hacienda, will specialize in flavorful, mouthwatering steaks.

In addition to offering a colorful array of dining options, the resort will also feature more than 50,000 square feet in sparkling pools, including a children-only water park, pool animation, volleyball nets, Jacuzzis, in-water hammocks, water cannons and an exclusive pool lounge. Other available amenities will include numerous bars and night clubs, an 18,000 square-foot spa with salon, steam room, sauna and hydrotherapy room; a 2,900 square-foot fitness center; an adult-supervised Barcy Kids Club; a grand theater for Broadway-style, live, nightly entertainment, offering a capacity for up to 526 guests, including a large bar area with 30 comfortable chairs; and the largest amount of meeting space in the destination, encompassing nearly 35,000 square feet.
