Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort Riviera Maya, a luxury all-inclusive unlike any other, was awarded the "2009 Commitment Quality Award" by The Leading Hotels of the World during its annual convention, held in Venice, Italy. Grand Velas Riviera Maya was the only resort chosen over other top hotels in Mexico and South America. The criteria for the award were based on a rigorous, anonymous inspection covering hundreds of meticulous criteria spanning from product to behavioral standards.

"We are proud to be recognized by the prestigious The Leading Hotel of the World brand just as Grand Velas Riviera Maya celebrates its one year anniversary of being open," said Fernando Garcia Rossette, managing director of Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

Other award winners in the Americas included Carlisle Bay in Antigua, The Hay-Adams in Washington, D.C. and The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina.
