Hotel Group's Climate Analysis 2009 shows top results

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, has published the yearly Climate Analysis - showing top results for 2009: The overall Employee Satisfaction Score increased to 85.8% (85.1% in 2008), and the Loyalty Score of the Rezidor employees towards their company stood tall at 75. "We are delighted and proud that we were able to hold and even surpass our results from 2008. 2009 has been an extremely challenging year - but despite the crisis and contrary to many companies in the industry worldwide, Rezidor reaches outstanding scores", comments Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. "The results of our Climate Analysis proof once again the success and efficiency of our people management and development", continues Ritter.

Yes I Can! - The group's vision & mission
18.472 employees in all Rezidor offices and hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa participated in the latest Climate Analysis. The evaluation of each hotel's and corporate department's climate saw particularly good results for the main areas "Co-operation" with a score 85.6% (83.6% in 2008) and "Ethical Standards" with a score of 87.3% (86.2% in 2008). "Our teams clearly stood closer together during the crisis and deliberately followed our vision and mission Yes I Can!", explains Ritter.

New jobs - Even in tough times
Rezidor defines itself as a true people business - the group focuses on a comprehensive and ambitious people development programme. It includes high level trainings like on-job-skills, a company own Business School, Centres of Excellence and a dedicated group-wide Responsible Business Programme. "Rezidor continuously invests in people. We develop talent from within - the majority of our General Managers is home grown - and from outside", says Ritter. In the emerging markets Russia/CIS and Africa alone Rezidor will create 2000 new jobs in 2010; most of them for local employees.

Climate Analysis - A look behind the scenes
The Climate Analysis is conducted by Rezidor since 1991 and sees a continuous increase of the Employee Satisfaction Score. The annual survey, using a highly developed and detailed questionnaire, measures the company's working climate on a set of standards, including communication, development opportunities, feedback and appraisal, leadership and company image and culture. The results do not only mirror the current climate, but also are the basis for activity plans in order to further develop and improve internal processes.
