Carlson Hotels today announced the winners of its first Global Hospitality Awards. The winning properties were recognized for their outstanding performance in terms of employee engagement, guest satisfaction, revenue generation, and economic performance. They were honored at the company's recent global business conference in Orlando. The four winners are the Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin, Germany, the Country Inn & Suites Marquette, Michigan, the Park Inn Liege Airport, Belgium, and the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok, Thailand.
"These hotels are great ambassadors for our brands and are aligned with the vision we have for our hotel business as part of our Ambition 2015 strategy," said Hubert Joly, president and CEO of Carlson.
The 427-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin, is located directly on the bank of the Spree River opposite the Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island Germany and features the world's largest cylindrical aquarium. The hotel is in the Top 25 of TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice List.
The Country Inn & Suites Marquette, Mich. has 84-rooms and is located in the Upper Peninsula region of Michigan and offers great views of Lake Superior. The hotel is consistently ranked high by TripAdvisor.com and also won the President's Gold and Friends Hosting Friends brand service awards.
The Park Inn Liege Airport, Belgium is located in the newly-constructed passenger terminal of the Liege Airport and features 100 guest rooms designed in the colorful and vibrant Park Inn style.
The 95-room Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok, Thailand is consistently rated among the top hotels in Bangkok by TripAdvisor.com out of 567 hotels. The boutique hotel features modern, contemporary guest rooms with relaxing rain showers. It was also presented The Rising Star Award in the region that honors top, up and coming hotels across all brands at Carlson Hotel's Asia Pacific Regional Conference last year.
