Orchard Hotel Singapore appoints new executive Assistant Manager

Orchard Hotel Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Winnie Low as the new Executive Assistant Manager of the 653-room award-winning hotel situated in the heart of the world-famous Orchard Road and home to well known and celebrated Chinese restaurant Hua Ting and Orchard Cafe.

In her new capacity, Winnie will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the operation of the hotel and focusing on food & beverage management.

Winnie has a wealth of international experience that spans more than 20 years, with extensive knowledge in the areas of Operations, F&B and Convention Management. She is also no stranger to the Hotel or to Singapore as she has been with Millennium & Copthorne Group from 1999 to 2006 as well as being part of the opening team for The Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore in 1996, working in a series of F&B positions. Prior to assuming her present position, she has spent four years in China, taking on management positions with various international hotel chains like Intercontinental Hotels Group and Shangri-la Hotel Dalian, China.

Winnie’s leadership and attention to details has won her numerous individual awards. During the Summer Davos 2007 by World Economic Forum, Winnie received the Honorary Credential Award from Dalian Government in recognition for her outstanding performance.

Her creativity and commitment to superb guest service and quality products will be instrumental in maintaining Orchard Hotel as a leading hotel in Singapore’s premier uptown shopping belt” said Mr Ruprecht Schmitz, General Manager of Orchard Hotel Singapore.

A native of Penang, Malaysia, Winnie is a strong believer in bringing out the best in every team member. “My successful management philosophy is to establish and maintain basic quality service. Being able to meet our customers’ expectations is a very satisfying experience. This is made possible through experienced and loyal team members,” said Winnie.
