AYANA Bali Launches Eat, Pray, Love Package (Indonesia)

“Smile with face, smile with mind…Even smile in your liver.”
(Words of wisdom from Ketut Liyer, Balinese healer, as told in Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert)

As travelers inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling novel – and the film-adaptation – seek to follow in her footsteps, they will find every reason to Eat, Pray and Love with a new package from AYANA Resort and Spa Bali.

The exotic package recreates elements of Gilbert’s four-months on the island, from the jamu drinks and yoga, to romantic dining, soothing massages, and soul-searching sessions in Ubud with traditional healer Ketut Liyer.

You will be inspired by Gilbert’s story as you base yourself in the sanctuary of AYANA’s 77-hectare estate, just a short drive from the dramatically beautiful beach where scenes of the movie were filmed earlier this year. You, too, will “smile in your liver” just as Ketut Liyer taught Gilbert to do, as you embrace this island’s unique charms.

“The novel was a bestseller, and the Hollywood movie promises to be an even bigger sensation, putting the rich culture and dramatic landscapes of Bali in the world’s spotlight,” said General Manager Charles de Foucault.

“There was certainly a buzz in the air during filming of the Bali scenes, and we’re already receiving enquiries from guests captivated by the exotic experiences described in the book, which is why we’ve created this package. We couldn’t think of a better way to Eat, Pray and Love everything about Bali!”
With rooms starting from US$298++ and one-bedroom villas from US$580++ based on a minimum 4-night stay, the package is valid for travel from 1 September to 24 December 2010 and includes:

• Daily Breakfast for 2 people (for room/suite guests, buffet breakfast will be served at Padi restaurant, while for Villa guests, a la carte breakfast will be served at Dava restaurant).
• One time traditional jamu drink and Balinese cakes presented upon room turn-down.
• Half day tour to Ubud.
• One time Romantic Dinner in a secluded garden or gazebo illuminated with banana trunk candles and tiki torches (private villa also available for villa guests), with personalized menu, dedicated butler service and private entertainment.
• One time 60 minute Balinese Massage for 2 people.
• One time Yoga (either Sunrise or Daytime) for 2 people.
