Variety Cruises sets sail to the Black Sea with its new Black Sea Treasures Cruise in summer 2011. The eight-day program aboard the Pegasus mega yacht is a one-way trip from Odessa, Ukraine to Istanbul, Turkey or reverse and includes visits to Romania, Bulgaria and the Crimea Peninsula with fares beginning at $2,690 per person. An introductory special includes a free two-night stay in Istanbul pre- or post-cruise with airport transfer, hotel and land excursions for bookings made and paid for by February 1, 2011.

The Black Sea Treasures Cruise has two embarkation options: Odessa, Ukraine’s major seaport with architecture influenced by Mediterranean and Russian styles; and Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city and the country’s cultural, economic, and financial center. Ports of call also include Nessebur in Bulgaria, an ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Pearl of the Black Sea”; Costantza, Romania, one of the country’s oldest cities and the Black Sea’s largest port; Romania’s Sulina-Danube Delta via private boat excursion; and Sevastopol, a naval port city in Ukraine on the Crimea Peninsula for excursions to Yalta and Crimea Riviera.

Passengers cruise aboard the twin-hulled Pegasus mega yacht, built in 1990 and refitted in the 2010, accommodates up to 49 guests in a relaxed, congenial atmosphere. Just 23 cabins ensure an intimate atmosphere. The vessel features 240m2 of open deck with comfortable lounge chairs, indoor and outdoor lounge with bar, a stocked library and spacious restaurant area. A platform on the stern enables guests to swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit.

Variety Cruises is inaugurating its Black Sea Treasures Cruise with a free Istanbul land program. The offer is available pre- or post-cruise. It includes two nights at a deluxe hotel, two half-day excursions and one airport transfer. Offer available for a limited number of cabins and does not apply for group bookings. Cannot be combined with any existing or future offers.

Cruise fares are per person and include:
• Accommodation in double or twin cabins with private bathrooms and air conditioning
• American buffet breakfast and two main meals daily
• Coffee, tea and water
• Use of fishing equipment (subject to availability)
• English speaking cruise escort
• $290 port charges will be added to fare
