A great way to do it is by taking advantage of one of the two shopping packages being offered by Northeast Florida’s newly renovated Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, which is located just minutes from two of the country’s largest outlet malls. The St. Augustine, Florida resort is offering the “Prime Outlets Shop and Stay Package,” as well as the “Premium Outlets Shop and Stay Package,” so you can choose the outlet mall that best serves your shopping needs.

The “Prime Outlets Shop and Stay Package” includes: deluxe accommodations in a newly remodeled guest room; breakfast for two daily in the resort’s 500 South Restaurant; a voucher to be redeemed at the Prime Outlets - St. Augustine for a $100 center-wide gift card, to be used at any of the 75 name brand and designer outlet stores; and a St. Augustine Prime Outlets VIP coupon book worth hundreds of dollars of additional savings at participating stores. Recently renovated and expanded, Prime Outlets - St. Augustine features such popular outlet stores as Gucci, Juicy Couture, Cole Haan, Michael Kors, GUESS, Hugo Boss Factory Store, kate spade, Liz Claiborne New York, Kenneth Cole, and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th. The outlet mall is just 10 minutes south of the resort, and the package starts at $199 per room, per night (plus tax). The package is available through December 31, 2010, based on availability, and is not available to groups of 10 or more rooms, and cannot be combined with any other promotion. When making a reservation, reference promotional code ZH5.

The “Premium Outlets Shop & Stay Package” is an alternative package that includes a $100 center-wide gift card at the St. Augustine Premium Outlets, which boasts 85 name brand and designer outlet stores. Offerings include Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, J. Crew, Nike Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren, Reebok, Tommy Bahama, and Tommy Hilfiger. The “Premium Outlets Shop & Stay Package” includes: deluxe accommodations in a newly remodeled guest room; breakfast for two daily in the 500 South Restaurant; the voucher for a $100 gift card to be used at any of the 85 outlets; a free VIP gift from St. Augustine Premium Outlets; and a St. Augustine Premium Outlets VIP coupon book good at participating stores. “Both are great packages for anyone who likes to shop, or for anyone who simply likes to make their dollars go very far when shopping,” said Mark Schwantner, general manager of The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village. “These two packages provide a great option to choose which outlet mall works best for you, or you can take advantage of one package one night, and the other package another night, to truly stretch your shopping dollars.”

Taking advantage of the package will enable you to experience the newly renovated Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, which completed an impressive $10 million property-wide renovation in 2008. Located within the lush 6,300-acre World Golf Village right next to the impressive World Golf Hall of Fame, the comprehensive renovation included the complete remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites, dramatic changes to the resort’s lobby atrium and entry area, remodeling of all guest room corridors, expansion of the fitness center, remodeling of the billiard room, and remodeling of the restaurant and bar.

The $10 million renovation of The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village included the remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites, which now feature new furniture, soft goods, window treatments, lighting, flat-panel screen LCD HDTV televisions, and the Marriott JackPack, which provides complete connectivity to the guests for laptops, MP3 players, digital cameras, and video game players. The rooms and suites feature a contemporary design with an Asian feel, which includes rich red bed coverings, crisp white linens, along with a color scheme of warm neutral gold. In-room offerings also include high-speed Internet access, two telephones with data ports, a wet bar and refrigerator, and in-room coffee.

The resort also boasts a dramatically remodeled 10-story atrium lobby, which now has a Colonial/Asian theme with new furniture, carpeting and foliage, as well as a colorful new 7-story modern hanging sculpture that captures the wind and air elements, reminiscent of open Florida skies.

Whether you’re seeking a golfer’s paradise or a lush resort getaway, The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village features a wealth of recreational offerings. Guests are able to play on two of the country’s finest championship golf courses (King & Bear, and Slammer & Squire), take instruction at the renowned PGA TOUR Golf Academy, relax on a nearby beach, visit the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame, and explore the wonders of America’s oldest city, St. Augustine.

On-site offerings at The Renaissance Resort include an indoor professional golf simulator, a sauna, pool, hot tub, and full-service concierge. Guests also are an easy walk to The World Golf Hall of Fame’s 18-hole putting course, the 132-yard Island Challenge Hole, the IMAX® Theater, and the Walk of Champions.

When visiting the resort, guests have the opportunity to explore historic St. Augustine. Founded in 1565, the area is rich with Spanish architecture, with charming cobblestone streets and many fascinating historical sites such as the historic Castillo de San Marcos fort, and The Fountain of Youth.
