The Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe to perform at Rachamankha Hotel
To celebrate their recent success at the 2nd International Marionette Festival in Hanoi, the Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe will perform at the Rachamankha Hotel in Chiang Mai - the only Relais and Châteaux member property in northern Thailand. A celebratory performance will take place on 24th October by invitation only and will be followed by two performances open to all on November 6th and November 13th, 2010.
The award winning Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe was founded 12 years ago by Ms. Wilawan Sawetseranee, a lecturer at the Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Fine Arts. Her main aim is the education of students on Thai puppetry and in the preservation of this art for future generations.
Tickets for the performances held on 6th and 13th of November are available for purchase now. The tickets are priced at 980THB and include a regional dinner (Tai-Yai, Lanna and Myanmar cuisines) and free flow of wine from 5pm. The performances start at 6pm.
