New World Hospitality Unveils Aggressive Expansion Plans Today (China)

New World Hotels will open four new properties in China by 2014, furthering its aim to establish footholds in strategic locations across the country. In addition to the capital, selected locations are targeted for economic development by the government, represent untapped potential for business and leisure travel or present new opportunities for five-star hotel development.

Guiyang
New World Guiyang Hotel, opening 2011, will attract both business and leisure travellers, as a deluxe city resort hotel with green landscape and mountain views, located in the Jinyang New District central business district, close to the city’s convention hall opening in the same year. Its 311 guestrooms and public spaces will offer an understatedly elegant Oriental feel and ambience. Restaurants will include a café and Chinese restaurant, lobby lounge and bar. Other facilities to be developed will be a ballroom and function rooms, business centre, executive club lounge, and a health club, pool and spa for recreation and relaxation.

Chongwenmen
New World Chongwenmen Hotel, Beijing, opening 2012, will be centrally located in one of Beijing‘s fastest growing commercial districts and situated close to the cultural attractions of The Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. As one of the first five-star hotels in the area, the 300-room property will feature a low-rise design complementing the surrounding residential area. Restaurants will include a café, Chinese restaurant, lobby lounge and rooftop bar. Other planned facilities include a ballroom and function rooms, executive lounge, health club, spa and swimming pool.

Shenyang
The 402-room deluxe New World Shenyang Hotel, opening 2013, will not only feature nearly 3,000 square metres of meeting and function space, but will also be the closest hotel to the upcoming Shenyang New World Expo,projectedtobethelargestexhibitionfacilityinShenyang. Thehotel will offer elegantly styled guestrooms and serviced apartments. New World Shenyang Hotel will also feature an executive floor lounge, 1,200- square-metre ballroom, 10 multiple-function meeting rooms and a business centre. The podium level will present dining, entertainment and recreation options, including a café, specialty restaurant, Chinese restaurant, lobby lounge and bar as well as extensive fitness centre and indoor swimming pool.

Qingyuan
New World Qingyuan Hotel will open in 2014 in one of China’s most popular hot springs destinations, known for its natural scenery, caves and rivers, as well as historical monuments and cultural diversity. It is anticipated to be the only internationally operated hot spring villa resort in the region. The design of the public spaces and 300 guestrooms, 35 villas and 60 residences for sale will reflect a sense of place, celebrating local customs, landscape and indigenous food traditions. Hotel villas will showcase individual hot spring features and the theme will be extended to a luxurious hot spring spa and recreational clubhouse. Restaurant concepts will include a café, Chinese restaurant, lobby lounge and bar. A ballroom and function rooms will be complemented by an outdoor wedding pavilion. Other recreational options will include a health club, pool, tennis courts, and activity zones for children and teenagers.
Favoured by business travellers and meeting planners, New World Hotels are deluxe properties located in Dalian, Shanghai, Wuhan, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila, with two affiliated hotels in Shenyang and Shunde.
