The Sofitel Al Khobar The Corniche was officially opened in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Province. The grand opening was attended by the owner, Mr. Saad Al-Dajaam, Mr. Sami Nasser, Sofitel Vice President, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean and Mr. Magdy Al Badry, General Manager of Sofitel Al Khobar The Corniche, and the management team.
Prince Mohammed said “This is an impressive hotel and we need more such hotels in this region because more and more people from other parts of Saudi Arabia are visiting the Eastern Province”
Mr. Saad Al Dajaam said “This is a proud moment for us and Sofitel will provide a big boost to tourism industry in the Eastern Province”
Mr. Sami Nasser, Sofitel Vice President, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean commented on receiving the news: “On behalf of Sofitel Luxury Hotels, we would like to offer our sincerest thanks and praise to Prince Mohammed and Mr. Saad Al Dajaam. The following evening a Gala dinner was hosted by Mr. Saad Al Dajaam and Mr. Gerard Pelisson, Co-founder of Accor Group in the presence of Mrs. Dominique Colliat, Senior Vice President Operations Sofitel EMEA, Mr. Bertrand Besancenot, French Ambassador in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Abderahman Belgat from Accor and amongst other local VIP guests and dignitaries.
Mr. Gerard Pelisson expressed his thanks and praise to the owner Mr. Saad Al Dajaam and said “Accor Group is committed to working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has an established history in the country with properties in Riyadh and Jeddah, so when my friend Saad invited me to open a Sofitel hotel in Al Khobar I was delighted to accept”.
Mrs. Dominique Colliat, supported Mr. Gerard Pelisson by adding that “Sofitel Al Khobar is truly representative of Sofitel Luxury Hotels ambition to be the leading hotel operator in GCC and Middle East region”
