The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has once again been recognised for its high-end services and facilities by winning two categories at the recent Indonesia Travel and Tourism Awards 2010/2011.
During a Gala Dinner Ceremony hosted in Jakarta on 21st October 2010, Westin Bali was officially presented with awards for Leading Family Resort and Best MICE Venue in Indonesia.
The awards were established by the Indonesia Travel and Tourism Organization and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The primary objective of this inaugural event was to showcase the indispensable services provided by travel and tourism industry. On a national level, the travel and tourism sector is the second largest generator of domestic income following the energy sector. These awards stand to encourage major hospitality brands to maintain quality and integrity at all times within the Indonesian marketplace.
The awards were judged by an esteemed Board of Advisors together with the implementation of an interactive online voting system. A total of 250,700 votes were cast to help determine the outright winner of each category.
