Thailand’s new W Retreat Koh Samui Offers Deliciously Tempting Specials At Signature Bars and Restaurants
The new W Retreat Koh Samui, the first W in Southeast Asia, is offering a delectable series of specials at its signature bars and restaurants. Inspired by the W Retreat Koh Samui lifestyle, the food and drink specials celebrate meeting, mingling, cocktails, wine and cuisine – all while showcasing each of the Retreat’s stunning destination venues.

Opened just this past November, W Retreat Koh Samui is an all-villa beachfront resort uniquely located at the peak of the north shore of Thailand’s famed Samui Island. The Kitchen Table – W’s all day dining restaurant, The Kitchen Table is delightfully unpretentious and fosters a convivial atmosphere – just like your own living room. Settle into plush, high-backed sofas to enjoy sweeping outdoor views while you meet and mingle with other guests and friends. The fresh, modern design is uniquely W, and the atmosphere is pure Koh Samui. Rich woods and natural stone are offset by crisp lighting, clean lines and soothing tropical colors. The welcoming communal seating areas offer comfortable couches and chairs, making it easy to get up and stroll around, or visit the massive open show kitchen where chefs converse with guests and share their trade secrets. Day or night, The Kitchen Table serves food from the heart, inspired – like our own kitchens – by the region and the world. The large wood-fired oven serves up baked treats, gourmet pizzas. * Showtime @ The Kitchen Table (Fridays, 7 – 10pm) where guests can roll up their sleeves and get busy with W Chef Matthew Woolford behind the counter of The Kitchen Table’s signature open show kitchen. Have you always wondered how to perfectly sear scallops? Or how to create a sensational savory sauce to accompany grilled chicken? Chef Matthew and his seasoned staff will help guests create their perfect World Cuisine, passing on skills and the kinds of secrets they’ll be happy to share at home! (THB 1,500net per person)
* Chef & Friends (Thursdays. from 8pm – late) – You’ll be the ultimate insider – a multiple-course evening of exceptional cuisine matched with fine wines, created by Chef Matthew Woolford. Relax with friends new and old, enjoy the evening sky, and savor each delicious and original course – from Thai-inspired cream of sweet corn, crab meat and basil soup, to oubre brie and candied walnuts, and all the courses in between. * Bubbly Breakfast on Sunday’s (Sundays, 7am – 2pm) – More than a breakfast, but not quite a brunch, it’s Sunday at The W Retreat Koh Samui. Ease into daytime recovery mode with free-flowing Veuve, and enjoy a selection of sweet and savory breakfast dishes while taking in the surf and sand below. More than a Japanese restaurant, Namu offers guests an intimate, sensual dining experience incorporating influences from across Asia and beyond in a cool, contemporary presentation of Japanese cuisine. A dramatic entrance featuring an enchanting vertical garden, leads into the main restaurant with a spectacular ceiling of huge downward spirals flanked by green glass rods representing bamboo.
