Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember with a romantic and memorable spa experience. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or close to home your sweetheart is sure to be grateful for the gift of relaxation. It’s easy to find a spa deal for two, according to the ISPA 2010 U.S. Industry Study which reported that 64 percent of spas are offering couple’s massages and 44 percent are offering a special package for couples.

“Time spent relaxing and reconnecting with your loved one at the spa is the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day,” said International SPA Association President Lynne McNees. “Instead of the usual flowers and chocolates why not focus on improving your Valentine’s overall health at the spa. The benefits of a spa experience will last well beyond February 14.”

Spas cleverly take traditional Valentine’s Day elements like chocolate, champagne and roses and use them in mouth-watering treatments that won’t make you gain a pound. Whether you’re part of a duo or flying solo these offerings from ISPA members will give you a soothing experience away from it all:

* Eau Spa by Cornelia at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, Lantana, FL – The Love Yourself treatment features the spa’s Scrub and Polish Bar, where an on-site mixologist creates a customized body cocktail on the spot. There’s no time limit on this DIY treatment, which includes access to all of the spa’s amenities. Finish off the day with a manicure using the customized scrub while enjoying champagne and chocolate. Available through February 20, 2011 for $75.

* The Lodge at Woodloch, Hawley, PA – A Chocolate Manicure or Pedicure is a loving way to treat your significant other. These treatments use cocoa bean, sugar and shea butter to exfoliate and moisturize. Enjoy a 50-minute manicure for $65 or pedicure for $85.
