Announces Three New Hotels in France, Germany and Poland
Marriott International announced today it has signed agreements that will add three more hotels to its growing lodging portfolio in Europe.
The hotels are the:
139-room Courtyard Wiesbaden Nordenstadt Hotel, Germany (June 2011)
124-room Courtyard Montpellier, France (December 2011)
225-room Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel, Poland (2013)
“We are thrilled to announce these three new hotels as we continue to drive towards our goal of doubling our portfolio in Europe by 2015,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director of Marriott International in Europe. “As we grow in Europe, it is exciting see the development of our Courtyard by Marriott brand here as well as the opportunity to take our Renaissance Hotels brand in to destinations like Warsaw.”
Courtyard Wiesbaden Nordenstadt Hotel
The 139-room Courtyard Wiesbaden Nordenstadt Hotel will open in June 2011 under a franchise agreement with Realotel Wiesbaden Hotel Betriebsgesellschaft mbH. The hotel, formerly the Ramada Hotel Wiesbaden, will be converted to the Courtyard by Marriott brand following renovation.
Wiesbaden sits along the Rhine River in southwestern Germany and is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe, renowned for its hot springs and beautiful scenery. Frankfurt International Airport is the closest airport to Wiesbaden, located only a short 20 minute drive away. After renovation, the Courtyard Wiesbaden Nordenstadt Hotel will boast an Oleo Pazzo Mediterranean restaurant, outdoor terrace and 24-hour Market.
Courtyard Montpellier Hotel
Opening in December 2011 under a franchise agreement with Matea Sarl, the 124-room Courtyard Montpellier Hotel will be located in the heart of Montpellier, steps away from lively shops and restaurants. Montpellier is the eighth largest and fastest growing city in France.
Located adjacent to the Montpellier City Hall, the Courtyard Montpellier will boast beautiful river views and an outdoor running track. Offering 124 stylish guestrooms, the Coutyard Montpellier will feature Courtyard by Marriott’s signature GoBoard information touch-screen, Oleo Pazzo Mediterranean restaurant, 24-hour Market and an outdoor heated swimming pool.
Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel
When opened in 2013 under a franchise agreement with Port-Hotel Sp.z.o.o., the 225-room Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel will be Marriott International’s third hotel in Warsaw. Located across from the international terminal of Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport, the Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel will boast almost 10,000 square feet of meeting space as well as an indoor pool and state-of-the art health and leisure center.
