Qatar Foundation announces Solis Doha, a new five-star hotel in Qatar.

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development today announced the appointment of Solís Hotels & Resorts, led by legendary hotelier Horst Schulze, to manage the new five-star Solís Doha in Qatar.
Solis Doha will be located next to the Qatar National Convention Center in the renowned Education City, home to some of the leading international universities in the world.

Solís Doha is expected to open in 2015. Employing a unique architecture that will be built to exceptionally high environmental and sustainability standards, Solís Doha will offer state-of-the-art meeting space, luxurious accommodations, a pampering spa, three outstanding restaurants and a spacious indoor recreational area.

Headed by internationally acclaimed hotelier Horst Schulze, Solís Hotels & Resorts was conceived in response to upscale guests' quest for a more luxurious hotel experience with unparalleled levels of personal service. As the former president, COO and founding member of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Horst Schulze is recognized throughout the hospitality industry for establishing world-renowned service quality standards. These service standards will be the hallmark of Solís Doha.

Solís Doha is the first property for Solís Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East, as the company strategically expands its global presence. ""We are very excited to be able to provide hospitality standards that will be a source of pride for Qatar Foundation,"" said Schulze, Chairman and CEO of Solís Hotels & Resorts. ""We seek out unique opportunities with special hotels, and Solís Doha certainly falls into that category.""

Solís Doha will offer guests a full slate of five-star amenities and unparalleled levels of personal service. Lavish accommodations will include 418 guestrooms and suites with a private entrance and elevator for penthouse and royal suites. A Grand Ballroom of 17,216 square-feet; more than 17,000 square-feet of breakout, pre-function and exhibit space; four board rooms; and six meeting rooms will comprise the meeting and event space. All space is complemented with the latest in audio, visual and communications technologies.
